Terms of Service

These terms govern your use of Genie Expense Tracker, including its mobile app, sync service, and read-only connection for compatible AI agents. By using Genie, you agree to these terms.

1. Eligibility and your account

You must be at least 18 and legally able to agree to these terms. Your 16-digit Genie account number is your credential. You are responsible for keeping it private and for activity performed through your account.

2. What Genie provides

Genie helps you organize personal financial records. Its agent connection can read authorized Genie data but cannot create, edit, or delete your records. Genie may change, interrupt, or discontinue features as the service evolves.

3. Connected AI agents

When you connect an external AI agent, you authorize Genie to send the data covered by the scopes you approve to that provider. The optional sms:read scope includes complete stored SMS bodies. The provider's own terms and privacy practices apply after it receives data.

You can revoke future access from connection management. Revocation cannot delete copies already received by the external provider.

4. Acceptable use

Do not misuse Genie, attempt unauthorized access, interfere with the service, probe other users' data, automate abusive traffic, or use Genie unlawfully. Do not give an agent instructions to access data you are not authorized to access.

5. Financial information

Genie is a record-keeping tool, not a bank, accountant, financial adviser, or payment service. Imported, inferred, converted, and forecast values may be incomplete or inaccurate. Verify important information with the original institution before making financial decisions.

6. Availability and liability

Genie is provided on an “as is” and “as available” basis without guarantees of uninterrupted availability or error-free results. To the extent permitted by law, the operator is not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or lost-profit damages arising from use of Genie.

7. Suspension and deletion

Access may be limited or suspended for misuse, security risk, or legal requirements. You may stop using Genie at any time and can permanently delete your account using the data-deletion instructions.

8. Privacy and changes

The privacy policy explains how Genie handles data. These terms may be updated by changing the effective date and publishing the revised version here. Material changes will be announced when practical.

9. Governing law and contact
